Onda grew up in Miami, where he was raised by immigrant parents from Cuba and Peru. Though he started out studying business, his passion for filmmaking led him to USC's film program. It was during this time that he connected with Will Smith and Kanye West, who brought him on as a creative partner and music video director.

A multidisciplinary creative, he works across creative direction, graphic design and directing, resulting in hyped campaigns for Adidas, On Running and PUMA. His music video for Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Mamushi’ won Best Trending Video at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Most recently, Onda directed the Adidas AE-1 campaign starring Anthony Edwards, which won a Cannes Lion, topped multiple Shoe of the Year lists, and was recognized by Ad Age as one of the best sports marketing campaigns of 2024.
